why I can not paste article when I start or reply a discussion

when I want to reply a discussion, I want to write in a microsoft word first, but I find I can not paste anything. I feel it is too inconvenient. My computer sometimes has a touble when I am writing words. At the sime time, every thing is gone. I donot know what I should do to prevent this kind of things to happen again.
