Anyone that has every had their pets sprayed by a skunk knows how much of hassle it is to get the smell out. I have recently discovered a way to get the smell out in two bathes. I know that people always suggests that tomato juice but yet it seems to require more work than its worth. First, I drenched my dog with warm water and squirted "Skunk-Off" and shampooed. I repeated once more & almost all the smell was gone. After I dried her off, the all natural "fur foam" really did the trick to get any traces of the smell out. Give this a whirl if the unfortunate skunk encounter happens.

Yuck. I hope that doesn't ever happen to my dog. lol. As it is about a week ago she chewed through an electrical cord and i'm surprised it didn't kill her. But anyway she burnt the inside of her mouth real bad and it stinks to high heaven. The vet said we just have to deal with it for about another week and a half or so then she should be healed. But I can't imagine a skunk smell on top of the bad breath! lol.

That's great that you finally got that smell out. When my dog got sprayed, I did the tomato juice thing, but even afterwards, I had to bathe her in buttermilk. That really seems to help, especially if it is late and that's all you have, lol. I've never heard of "fur foam", but if it works like you say, I could definitly use some for emergencys! My way works, but like you said, it is a lot of trouble.
