I have been looking at a home built in the 50's and am unsure if that old of a home would have lead paint inside. If it does, and I repaint over it, will I still be at risk for lead poisioning if it peels over the years?

Every me, condo,apartment must provide a lead statement. and no you cannot paint over it. the lead must be removed by professionals before you would be able to repaint. Lead is very harmful to young children and it is not worth the risk of just covering it up.
