I got the best surprise today.

This morning around 9 AM the dog was barking and whining like someone was out front that he knew. I went to the door and saw that someone was walking up my steps. I thought "OH crap I am not dressed and I have company." I cracked the door open and I got the best surprise ever. It was my son, his girlfriend and her sister. They all live in Nevada about a 6-hour drive away. I did not know they where coming. Hurray! They surprised me and came to see me. Well sort of they came to get my son's truck smoged so we can do the paperwork to put it in his name and get it out of our name.
I got dressed and we went to the DMV, that took forever then we went to an early lunch.
We spent sometime together then went to visit some friends and came back to the house. Presently they are sleeping because they had been up for 22 hours and needed sleep before hitting the road home. Ya they came to see me.
The bad part is they are in my bed, and it is now 11:06 PM and my husband needs to go to sleep. He does not want me to wake the kids up so he is sleeping on his recliner.
I would like to hear some of your good surprises any marriage proposes, any birth announcements that you were not expecting?

I do have blow up beds and a hida way bed. Its just I did not think they where going to sleep so late in the evening. They woke up at 12:30 AM and was gone by 1:00 AM. They are now at work this evening. It was such a great supprise.
Our daughter lives only an hour a way and I do not hear or see her much. I talked to her a few weeks ago and saw her on fathers day. I have seen our son three times since then.

That is a really great surprise! Love to hear that teapotmommommerced. I got really-really nice surprise back years ago. My best friend studied in Australia. One day I came back from work, my cousin ( she was visiting my house that day ), that one of my friend visit me, I ask who it was, and she's not sure. Later on after dinner somebody knocked on the door, and it was my best friend. I thought he still in Aussie since he never told me he flew back early. Good surprise!

That was a great supprise for you. Did you cry when you seen him? I almost did when my son sat down on the paino, I miss the kids around playing their insterments. He plays the piano, gutiar, drums, and pretty much can pick up any insterment and play it. He now is playing gigs in Reno Neveda at a coffee house. I am so proud of him.

That's a great surprise! I really love being around my family, so seeing them is always nice, but when they visit unannounced, it's even better. (Except, of course, when my apartment is messy or something, lol.) I especially love catching up with family over a meal at a restaurant. It's so relaxing, since no one has to cook or clean up the mess!
