Any Going Away to College Tips?

My son is leaving for college, and its really hard for me to make sure he will have every thing he needs. He will be far away, and we have read the instruction pamphlets and talked to the councelors, but there must be things that are not mentioned!

A box mailed from home and extra cash will take care of what you missed. Boys don't need much beyond their clothes, bedding, towels, personal products and a cell phone. Everything else can be gotten at school.

How exciting for him- and sad for you- It’s got to be hard when a child goes away to college- I’d be sure he has everything he needs- extra money- phone #’s- pictures from home- of course all the supplies- laundry soap that kind of stuff-- He’ll be fine!
