I'm what you would probably call an NRI and have no intention of ever living in India, corrupt as it is. Who else can you blame but the politicians for corruption? But at the end of the day, it is the public who vote in these corrupt politicians for whatever reason, be it ignorance or fear of change or even being threatened to ensure they vote for the "in" party. If there were genuine candidates standing as politicians who could say no to bribery and corruption then India might be more respected by the rest of the world. As it is, people see India as a place that is up and coming BUT also as a place where corruption is rife which is a shame as there is a lot in India to be proud of...
