My husband and I are dog sitting for 3 weeks... he is a yellow lab and his name

is Yukon. I took him to the pool yesterday with my two guys and wouldn't you know it - he hurt two paws- the one in the back he scraped his nail and it was bleeding and his front paw he was limping on-- I have no idea what he did to that one. I can't seem to get a break...lol..he seems better today but we will not be going to the pool for a few days, these dogs are gonna be the death of me- lol. I know that you can use a septic pencil for bleeding toe nails but does anyone have any other suggestions for how to stop bleeding toe nails- I know that this will happen again- he is not used to running on cement.

My vet told me to use clear finger nail polish.....I thought it would sting but it doesn't and it works!Good luck!

OH no- Poor dog! Just your luck- dog sit and have the dog get hurt a little- That would be my luck too- : ( I don’t know anything about bleeding toe nails. I just wanted to say I’m sorry that the dog got hurt-

Thanks he is feeling much better now- thank god- it's a good thing we are watching him for 3 weeks...it gives him time to heal!!! :D

Sweetie the only thing that I can suggest is soak her foot in salty Water I know that has helped my Cats and Dogs in the past

Hey there girl LOL I feel so bad for you. I know you just cant get a break. Just make sure to keep it clean and he should be okay. Oh what the heck they are just like kids. They were probably having a ball playing. LOL

yes they were having a great time- running around the pool and jumping in. Thankfully he is much better today. My husband and i are always sayingthat they are just as bad as having kids. LOL

I love labrodaurs. They have such, lovely, fun loving natures. And yes, they get into trouble with their antics. I'm afriad I don't know about bleeding toe nails. Did he like swimming in the pool?

They are very sweett and fune loving- but extremely clumsy!!! LOL And yes he loved the pool!!

i know when me and my mother would cut the one of our cats nails that when it would bleed you could also use baking powder because it sticks to the nail and stops the bleeding.
