It seems like every day we hear about something new that isn't good for us to eat, drink or do because it's unhealthy for us. If we paid attention to everything we heard we wouldn't be drinking milk, eating any type of bread and a hundred other things we and our ancestors have done for hundreds years.
O
f course we all know that smoking cigarettes, doing drugs and drinking alcohol to excess anyway are not good for us. There are oceans, lakes, ponds and places we can't swim in because of bacteria levels. We have carbon monoxide alarms in our homes now to cover us on that level and who would have thought of that one huh?
Knowing all that we know today what do you think is the MOST unhealthy thing anyone can do to their body? Do you think smoking cigarettes is THE worst or is there something much worse than that?

I think eating anything that has trans fat is the worse thing we can do for our bodies. The reason I saw this is if someone smokes, and stops smoking the damage to the lungs can be reversed and if someone stops boozing it up, the liver damage can be reversed. But so far the only evidence is that eating a low fat damage can reverse the effects of a high fat diet, but I have yet to see any article that shows that removing trans fats from one's diet will reverse the specific damage it causes.

That's a good point. I'm going to have to look into that....for personal reasons and curiosity.

Well, I think everything have two sides: good side and bad side. Medicine can escape us from desease, but at the same time, it have a side effect to our body. So that really makes us contradictory: do not take the medicine, be ill. That's unreallistic. My opinion to the saying that something which we and our ancestors have done for a long time is bad for people's health is just let it go. What we can do is just to have a good life habit, no smoking, less drinking. That will be OK!
So, to your question, I think bad habits is the worst things to our bodies. How do you think? Do you agree with me?

Smoking is definitely up the list. Despite it being well known that every smoke is literally killing you, and despite people knowing about the consequences and all that cancer stuff that is related to smoking, people still smoke. What's more frustrating is that it is costing them heaps of money at the same time and yet people still smoke just for the sake of smoking.

Overeating or overdrinking for that matter, as anything in excess that you put into your mouth and on to the bloodstream is harmful to one's health. There are certain levels that are now found to be just necessary to one's nutrients and that's all we need for a healthy living. Under or beyond those levels are already abuse to the well-being and are therefore harmful to one's health.
Other than that, not exercising is also unhealthy, as we need to tune in the different body parts to be able to function conditionally well.

Lack of physical activity when possible. Sitting around eating healthy foods will still get you into trouble at some point in your life. Need to get the body exercised at least 2 x a week. Minimum.
