i'm so happy and excited that we'll be celebrating our 1st year wedding anniversary this August 18th. They say that the 1st year was tough because you have all the adjustments of being married like getting along with each other families, getting to know more each other deeper (no secrets), accepting imperfections, changing your lifestyle and schedules, doing things you don't usually do, not hanging out with friends as much as you do and so much more. But you can pass all this test if you are just willing to reach out for each other, being more considerate, patient, and understanding. Respect, Trust and Love should be always there, that's so important. Well, i'm just so happy to say that we passed the 1st hardest year of married life! :)

congratulations! you've passed the first hurdle! as years pass however, many problems will crop up, big and small but no matter how bad things get, as long as you continue to love and respect each other, you will get through anything. also, don't be afraid to show affection towards each other even if times get tough. a kiss, a hug or even just a gentle word goes a long way.:)

thanks moira725. i truly believe on all the things that you say. as long as there is love and respect to each other we'll get through anything that will happen in our life. we always show our love and affection and we don't forget to say how much we love each other. Have a nice day! :) Goodluck and Godbless!

Congrats! My ex boyfriends parents just celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on the 4th. I still wished them a happy anniversary even though they hate me.

Well congratulations on your 1st year! Yes some do say the first year is the toughest. It was the total opposite for me actually. The first year was actually the best for me. I've been with my husband for 9 and a half years now. The first year felt like our honeymoon. Luckily we've always got along and stuck by each other through some tough times so I've never felt like I could never stay married to him. For me I believe the hardest times, or the test, is really seeing how strong you are in the hardest times and not giving up. We've been through some tough times financially and some personal emotional things and it makes me feel even closer to him knowing we have each other to rely on through those hard times and no one can ever make me smile through those times like he can.
