Does pregnancy provide protection against certain diseases?

Awhile back I heard a medical report on television that claimed that women who had been pregnant received a certain amount of natural protection from cervical cancer because of the pregnancy. I'm not sure what they were basing their research on, but if it's true that's good news for all of us who have been pregnant! With that being said, I think there are many other benefits to having been pregnant.
For years before my own pregnancy, I had suffered from many viral sinus infections. But, the moment I got pregnant that all stopped. And, for nearly four years after my daughter was born I didn't suffer one sinus infection. It was like a miracle. And, I didn't get the flu either!
Did you find that you received other health benefits by being pregnant? Did you find that your health or skin improved once your pregnancy was over?

Certainly I think there may be even more hidden benefits as well that they have not even identitfied. I've noticed that my skin is clearer since the pregnancy. Pregnancy is pretty tough on the body, but you get a little human being in your life afterwards and that makes up for a lot.

Preganacy is associated with more health complications than protection against disease-In my country HIV women day faster than those without pregnancy

I think the risks of pregnancy out-way the benefits of going through it.
