I just got rid of a stack of patterns, and there was one great 50's/60's skirt in that pile. I wish I had known someone was looking for that sort of thing!
I don't know of any free sites for patterns (I am horrible with patterns), but I do agree with the other response to check etsy.com. There are several people on there who sell pretty much nothing but vintage patterns, and most of the prices are pretty reasonable--probably less than what you would pay for a new pattern!

Try Etsy.com
I noticed a LOT of people selling older patterns on that site. It's worth a shot!! best of luck!

Hi coffeeshot!
I've had some luck finding some vintage patterns on ebay. Try doing a search for "vintage clothing patterns" and see what comes up. The patterns I look for are mostly doll and little girl clothing, but there are others there.
Best of luck to you on your searching! :) Vintage patterns are SO much fun! I have one pattern that is well over 30 years old (probably much older!) My grandmother made the stuffed bear for my sisters and I when we were little. I plan on doing the same for my nephews... with the SAME pattern.

Hi Coffeeshot, I found a great site for patterns. Adult and childrens all styles. you could give them a try, its sewessential.co.uk. They deliver worldwide and have a great selection of kwik-sew patterns.

You can sometimes find these patterns on eBay, and there are also eBay shops that specialise in hard to find patterns. I would also suggest looking in the local charity and thrift shops as they often have old patterns for sale.

You could probably find vintage patterns at any thrift store around your area or garage sales....antique shows or trade shows.
