America's Player is a joke

Honestly, for those of you who haven't been paying attention, just look at the comments on the BB8 page. People are wanting everyone to vote for things in order to get Eric in trouble and get him kicked out! It ticks me off.
Ok, so if you've seen tonights show, keep reading... if not, don't read on..... I don't want to ruin it for you :)
So we now have ED and Dust up for eviction, with Dustin thinking he is 100% safe. However he doesn't know that Eric's vote is controlled by America and that America is trying to tell Eric to vote out Dustin! It ticks me off b/c I feel I should be playing FOR Eric not against him. Therefore, telling Eric what to do I would tell him to vote out ED. However, it's not even worth it to vote b/c lately everything I vote for loses. That whole silent treatment thing, everyone on the BB8 page was saying to vote for Dustin or Jessica, and they won. There are basically people willing to vote and comment over and over again to make sure Eric does what they want, and they don't care if it means he gets kicked.
I wish CBS would limit it to one vote per IP address and one vote per phone number. At least then it would maybe be a little bit more fair.
What do you think? Do you think the comment board on CBS is ruining the voting process? Maybe ppl seeing all those comments are just voting with the crowd instead of what they really think. Even though I don't necessarily care for Eric, I still feel like we are playing FOR him and we should try to help him get closer to the end. Thoughts?

Yes, it's ticking me off royally! All we can do at this point is hope that ED has ticked off Zach and Jen enough to want to get him out of the house.
As for America's Player, I'm madder than all get-out that people are playing AGAINST him instead of WITH him. What is up with that? They are ruining the whole premise of the twist this year. The last time I wanted something so desperately I voted 10 times on my computer and then went over to the neighbours' and voted 10 times on their computer. And it still didn't make a difference.
This is the most ridiculous season of BB ever and I really hate it. I hate ED, I hate Daniele and her stupid rants and crying jaunts, and Amber and her tears. Gawd! Will someone please do something right for change? How can we get Zach and Jen to vote against ED? That's all we can hope for at this point.
My daughter wants to know what would happen if Eric went against America's requests. I'm guessing he signed a contract. I wonder if CBS anticipated this kind of rebellion from the viewers. I can't believe I am actually hating a season of BB, and yet I won't turn it off. What a sucker I am, huh?

I assume Eric cannot go against their requests. I thought he could, but others told me now that he cannot and that is why Julie Chen doesn't even ask him his vote and instead tells him his vote.
SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE VOTES TONIGHT. I have to say though, tonight the plan really ended up working FOR eric! And reading the comments tonight I feel people are now making smart decisions that could HELP eric. We'll see!!!

I have a small suspicion that Eric has figured out that America is not working with them and has decided to beat them at their own game. If they go against what they THINK Eric wants when it is not in fact what Eric wants, Eric may get what he wants. I could be wrong, and probably am, but this is something that he could be thinking.

I agree with you on that. I think you hit the nail on the head. Eric was openly upset a few times when he saw what America voted for... now I think he has figured it out that they are not in it for him to win it. So he now knows how to make it seem like he didn't really want to do this or that, even when in the end I think he really did want to get rid of Dustin.

i am so mad at the way everyone is voting. i thought the whole point of "americas player" was so that we could control him and see how far we would get in the game if it was us playing. i can't believe everyone is trying to screw this up. and then that crap with the plane that flew overhead. if this keeps up i dont see big brother continuing on much longer. what a bad time for eric to have to give the silent treatment. now jessica doesn't trust him even more and she for some reason believed jen and thinks maybe dustin had/has a deal with evil. i'm worried it will come to a tie and jessica will jump at the chance to get dustin out while she can. i haven't seen the comment board on cbs, i'll check it out...i think that they should get rid of it if that is what people are using it for.

Actually pat you could say "it's unfortunate people can't think for themselves!" I read the msg boards and comments, some people love ED and have great reasons, others LOVE Jen, others LOVE Eric. I have not been convinced by what other people say, instead I go with what I think. However, as I read the comment boards it does seem a lot of the time like people get intimidated into voting one way or the other. Like you'll see a person calling out everyone who says they like Dustin and calling those people dumb, or idiots. Then you'll see people who were going to vote for dustin start to say "well, maybe you're right".
I personally can't have my opinions changed that easily so the boards don't affect me. Too bad I see them affect others often.

At first America was playing with Eric not agianst him like they are now. Come on giving the silent treatment to Jessica? Please. That was just plain stupid. They have such a good relationship, in and out of the house I think, why do you do that? Cause its fun to watch? Its just stupid.
I think Eric should be allowed to choose to do it or not. I don't think he should HAVE to do the things they want him to. Especially when it comes to voting, because it just isn't fair to him and the game.

I know it doesn't have to do the task we make him to do if he chooses to, but he has to when it comes to voting, which I think is the biggest rip off

I think the idea is that Eric should not be playing the game for himself at all. It is the idea of giving everyone in America the chance to play the game through another player. In that case they probably should have picked an actor. But Eric agreed to play the game this way so he has to go with it. They say it on every episode... "Eric is play for YOU, America."

Does anyone not realize Eric does NOT have to listen to America???? I have told this to other people online.
ERIC gets MONEY when he LISTENS. He Does NOT have to vote out Dustin! He just wont get money towards it!!
I am keeping my fingers crossed that the JERK Evel gets kicked out its about time, and Dani should follow ASAP

Eric does not have to do the task America wants him to do, but he has no vote. His vote is 100% controlled by America. However, if I was Eric I would go ahead and complete as many tasks as possible b/c American is really screwing him over right now. He has no chance of winning so he might as well try to make as much money as possible by completing tasks.

How funny I posted almost the same discussion guess we most have missed each other huh? Anyway I agree with you the whole thing is a joke BB was so stupid to do that but Eric does get paid for each tasks he completes so he is not s/o/l/ completely.
Comment my discussion since I did yours ok?

I agree. Although, in the beginning I was excited about this new "twist", but now, I think it's kind of silly. I mean, why would Eric give Jessica the silent treatment. He should have just rejected the task and let it go. Now Jessica thinks he's in on it with Evil & Dustin. What the heck? This America's Player thing is screwing up Eric's chances of winning BB8. He should be focusing more on getting Evil out of the house.
Now about Dustin being a "pawn", I don't know if he realizes he might go home this week. Even though people hate Evil, it's still pretty risky to be up for eviction, because you never know what's going to happen in the house. Jessica might get enough people convinced that Dustin & Eric are hiding something, and if that happens, it's 'bye bye Dustin'. I guess we'll just have to wait & see.

This isn't even a show that I really watch on a regular basis, BUT I don't agree with what they are doing. To me it isn't any different than having a fixed election or any other kind of rigged contest. It isn't fair to anyone, whether the participants or the audience/voters and shouldn't be done.

I think America was playing For Eric, but I think Eric kind of dug himself into a hole. He was doing his own evil bidding and you know what, he doesn't really want to do what America says. How many tasks has he completed? How many has he failed?
Like someone else was saying in a similar post, America seems to like ED and Eric is trying to screw over ED...hence why America is now screwing Eric. I think Eric could have completed his tasks in a much better way than he did.
According to BB After Dark there is some evil afoot, and I don't just mean ED.
