I need help with my RCA 1GBUS mp3 player

hi all. I have a RCA 1GBUS mp3 player. It is bought from the US 1y and a few months ago. The first 4-5 months it worked perfect. After that the most annoying problem started. When I connected it to a computer it rarely got recognized, and I was very irritated from the "Unknown USB device found" pop-up in windows. So I got to reconnect it again and again till it got recognized. And with this problem, a new problem came up. Since it wasn't recognized I wasn't able to recharge its batteries. Sometimes I was able to recharge the batteries even if the mp3 player isn't recognized. BUT since a few days ago when I plug it in no pop-up, no nothing... as if my USB ports are all dead, but they aren't. Anyone else had similar problems? And if so what is wrong with my mp3 player and how can I repair it?
