My daughter and granddaughter have been making plans to visit Scotland to find their roots. My mother and grandparents came from Invernesshire and I told her to see if she could find out in Newtonmore the hotel that my Great-grandfather once owned before coming to Canada. Well, on doing some research I found out that it is "The Glen". Wasn't I amazed. I actually have a few souveniers from their. Some cutlery and a few other articles that have been handed down, not of any value. Also, the museum is the home that my mother once lived in. Would love to hear from anyone that could tell me anything else about my family's past with this hotel.
