a confusing day for cameraman

If you are a professional cameraman who works for the print or news media, and you are asked to cover a sports event like a golf championship, you have no choice but to be at the scene to capture the action. Call it occupational hazard, but some jobs come with more risk than others. If you compare a sports photographer to one who is sent to say Iraq to cover the war, then I would say it is much safer to be at a golf tournament than a war zone. There are photographers and reporters who are kidnapped or killed in the line of action in Iraq, Afghanistan or Somalia doing their jobs, but in all these years, I certainly have not come across any photographer injured or killed covering a golf event.
