I have been dealing with an issue and have asked God for help. In all that I have done I know he has assured me he will help me but how do you know what you need to do to get that help? I mean I have prayed and the tried to listen for a voice to tell me what I need to be doing other then what I already do. I just don't know if some of the things are my own thoughts or thoughts that God is putting in my head. I want to do all that is right and live up to what God wants I just am not sure what exactly that is right now. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

hey Triciaw, what i believe is God is always there to listen to us but the thing is sometimes we are just so pre-occupied with our problems and all that we miss listening to Him..God lives right inside us(this is what i believe)..u have prayed to God and listened to His suggestions or directions to u but are confused whether they really are as directed by God or just result of your biased thinking..well in such situations what i can suggest you is concentrate once again on whtever bad is happening or whatever is the issue you are dealing with..then think what you want the result to be and then think about the other way i mean from another point of view like what can be the best that can happen the worst with in the limits of possibilties..and then think about the way between these two options..got me..??this will prevent biasing also and u may surely come up with some solution but remember to be true to yourself about the ways of solving it.so in this way u'll atleast overcome your biggest fear which is preventing you from thinking coherently..hope this helps you.

Be patient. God hears your prayers and He knows what is in your heart. He will answer in His time, not yours. Also know this, you have to "believe" you'll get your answer in order to get it. If you don't fully believe then you won't get it. Just like having a problem, if you don't let God have it fully, then how can he fix it? God Bless You!

You can check to see if those thoughts that you are having are from God or are your own by going to the bible to see if they are biblical. I mean say for example you need money and the only way you can see to get it is to steel it. Now you want to do what God wants you to do to get the money so you search the bible to see if it's ok to steel. Extreme example but you see what I mean. Sometime we want the answers right now but God can be waiting for a better time to give you the help you are wanting too. Some times those answers come from unexpected places and directions. So we must be patient and keep praying. Some people have prayed for years before God said yes.

God does not speak to you in your mind by a voice in your head as is supposed. There is a verse in the Bible, "try every spirit" which means that voice in your head may be your own thoughts, you may have the brain that can pick up conversations from far away (in which case it is not meant for you), or it could be that of a demon. Demons are very crafty, they lure people by giving them what they want to hear or what is considered right, and then gradually suggest wrong things. God now speaks through HIS WORD, The Holy Bible, and by the use of his messengers, the pastor, minister, or reverend who preaches from the pulpit every Sunday. If something is bothering you, ask your pastor, or talk to one of the elders of your Church rather than listening to the voice in your head.

Sometimes in our searches we neglect to see which one and how would it be. We always ask and look for answers. What we don't realize its infront of us already. We look too far but the answers are just there. Gods answers us and most of the time it is in a different packaging that we sometimes didn't notice.

I am so glad you are seeking God's will, Tricia. You are doing the right thing by going to God for help. We sometimes need to be patient. God will answer your prayer...we just have to trust Him. I've been struggling with an issue myself and I am asking God for help as well. I know He will help me. Satan will do all that he can to keep us from God and he whispers lies to us. We need to stay focused on God and read His Word. He will help us. God bless you!

Having said you are experiencing the SELF-NATURE-NURTURED. Not because of your pray or sentences for help that makes you got it. It's about time that has come. First and foremost it hapeened to your super hearing and not yet your sight vision and whatever matters you will be having problems in daily life as you cannot to anybody and for sure 70% will laugh at you and 30% will interprate you are crazy and the worse part when you seek a medical treatment and definitely they terms your story as an illussions and alzhmeir. OK to make my long story short, to answer your question just refer to one movie about Professor John Nash at Phoenix University....I've forgotten the title. But don't worry your experience for this is normal to the all past outstanding people such as Abraham Lincoln, Professor John Nash, Albert Einstein,.....etc... You will suffer at bit on public social building and must to know to control yourself upon happening. But get ready with the next happening, after hearing normally it will appear on visualization and it's a reality for you... I suggest you to look for Professor John Nash movie where at last he was successfully found the "equilibrum formula" AND Albert Einstein found E=mc square. Actually 'E' for Einstien; 'm' marrie her beloved wife; and 'c' for charlie, his son.

God will lead you if you ask for guidance. you must believe in his existance or you will not be aided. Please put your hope in god and pray. he will come to your help and if you feel a hesitence in a decission, that is because he helps you. but you must make the final choice. God bless

I've personally never looked to God for answers, because all answers come from within. I feel you can look to whatever God you believe in for hope and faith, but answers will come with time and experience. In my opinion, God can not solve problems, just give the faith you might need (or want) to develop the solutions on your own. This situation reminds me of the popular poem "Footprints". In a dream, a man finds himself walking on the beach with the Lord. Naturally, they leave two sets of footprints in the sand behind them. Looking back, the man understands that the tracks represent various stages of his life. He notices that at some points the two trails dwindle to one, especially at the lowest and most hopeless moments of his life. The man questions the Lord, believing that the lord must have abandoned him at those times. The Lord, however, gives the true explanation. "During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was I that carried you." Maybe that helps a little, and I hope your current situation has a turn for the better.
