Alert ! Nokia mobile users..... Please check......

6 years, I have not changed the battery for my mobile. I think it is the latest consignment which has the problem and the company has decided to call back all those batteries and offered free replacement.

hi lavender, thanks for the alert. My father's phone belongs to that series but i have checked it in nokia website and it has passed safe test. I am glad it did. i saved much time going for a replacement or a blast! lol..

Yes I am very fortunate that my nokia phone does not bear that model of battery. I just recently bought a new phone from Nokia and so far the model which I brought doesn't use the battery model that is said to explode. Thanks goodness! My father's phoen unfortunately was one of those that has that kindof battery. he submitted the serial number to Nokia website and they promised to deliver the replacement via a courier to the address he declared in the website. I hope they could have it delviered the soonest possible time. But I doubt if they could really deliver it since I do expect a deluge of submission of battery asking for a replacement.

I had this battery so went to their website and put in my battery number - luckily they said that it was not from the defective batch. Thanks for posting this - in case someone missed this information.
