It really is a joy!
I first went to college in 1986 without a clue of what I wanted to be when I grew up. In 2002 I decided what I wanted to be and returned to school. I graduated from Limestone College in SC this past December with a 3.67 GPA and am no attending Webster University. I'm taking as many classes as i can online because it's the best way for me to work classes into my schedule.
Anyone else out there balancing school, work, and family? Taking classes online?

I believe that education is a Lifelong process! :)
Congratulations to you for going back to school and doing this wonderful thing for yourself... so many people don't believe in themselves as good students anymore by the time they get sadlled with families and work and so on...
I am a businessman (no family) and I still am in the learning process... a truly necessary thing if one wants to keep up and make a decent income these days... I really enjoy the stimulation that a good course provides, plus the practical uses of knowlege are many...
You are to be commended... hopefully you will inspire others to follow your excellent example! :)

Thanks!
I've found that I've become a much better student with age. The uncertainty about what I'm doing in school is gone. I have a set goal in mind and am ready and wiling to do what i need in order to reach it.
I do what I can to inspire and encourage others to return to or start school. the continuing educations courses offered by community schools and technical schools here are excellent. And if an employer offers tuition reimbursement, it would be a shame not to take advantage of it.
My first attempt at school back in '86 was not wasted. I learned that I was not ready for school and entered the workforce full time. My years in the workforce and starting a family helped me discover more about myself and what I have to offer.
Thanks again.
Sherrie

Hey Sherrie you are an inspiration to us all. I really need to go back to school too.
How did you find financial aid? I really want and need another Masters degree and cant find a grant or fellowship. Do you have any ideas?
Also I enjoyed your response to my post regarding WAHM. I really needed a job and wanted to talk more about that with you.
