Do you listen to music while you walk or run?

Do you find that when you listen to music, your pace changes to match the beat of the music? I've discovered that when I am walking to and from my bus stop, if I'm listening to something really upbeat, I will walk a lot faster than if I am listening to something slow.
I keep wanting to put together a "morning commute" playlist that will get me out the door at a reasonable pace, and then pick up as I get downtown and walk to my office. It seems like it would be a good way to keep me moving when I'm half asleep. :)

Strangely i also find that music on while I'm working tends to make me type faster/differently....sort of to the beat as well. Now I just have to wait until I can get some speakers for my laptop, because right now music on the laptop sound tinny. And tinny Iron Maiden or Bella Morte is just bad.

Oh, I remember that happenning to me a lot when I was working on my thesis. They Might Be Giants will turn you into a typing madwoman. ;)
You know I sold a pair of laptop speakers at your yard sale? :)

Usually the same happens to me. I used to hate playing house music or dance music when I am driving only because my rate of speed would increase and I didn't really notice it. When I go for my runs, though, I always have the music going and a specific playlist full of fast and uptempo beat because it does keep my pace faster and I get further. Walking from the train station to my office is the same thing, the music affects the pace at which I was walking to the office.
