Taking Out My Gall Bladder

So tomorrow at 9:30 I'm getting my gall bladder removed. They say its going to be a lapascopic something or other and that I should be happy that I am eligible to get that because f I wasn't I'd have to be opened up. OUCH!! So it all started sunday I went to Friendly's for breakfast and when I got home I went to sleep. I woke up and my stomach was hurting but I thought it was indigestion or a sour stomach. So I didn't think anything of it. I went to bed that night and I kept tossing and turning and I like to sleep on my stomach but I couldn't because my stomach was that sensitive. I knew that I was going to eventually vomit but kept holding it back because who the hell wants to vomit. So very early the next morning I finally surrendered to the vomiting but it didn't help anything it just made me feel worse. So that's when I decided to go to the ER. I sat in the ER for an hour and a half, keeled over and there were only two people ahead of me. So I finally get in to see a DR.and he feels all over my stomach. It was agony. Then he sends me for an ultrasound.... OMG can we say even more painful. So they finally told me it's my gall bladder and they put me on an IV and some medication. THE BEST RELIEF EVER. Thorazine or something like that. I was knocked out for two hours. I woke up and they made me see a surgeon and we scheduled the gall bladder removal for thursday. The only thing that pisses me off is that this happened before. They wouldn't take it out because I didn't have insurance and now that I do have insurance their all like oh yeah lets take it out ASAP. Doesn't the medical profession suck. Well know everyone keeps telling me to see SICKO the movie that what happened to me is just like the movie. I guess I'll see it when I get out of the hospital.

Well I think you should tell the surgeon that you want to keep the gall bladder-- ask him to put in in a container for you....LOL I hope all goes well for you -- looking forward to lots of new discussions from you!!!!

well,u are about to undergo the Cholecystectomy..hey i am a doctor..i don't think this profession sucks(may be because i am a doc..lol) but don't u worry u'll be fine soon and bless that surgeon who will operate you cause you won't be able to have anymore episodes of this agonizing colicky pains..take my word..they have just chosen the best for you.after all they are not your enemies because u don't know them;-) and about the insurance thing..this has nothing to do with medical profession but the Great government thing which u don;t know screws doctors even if they can not make their patient feel happy..we all are bound under the terms and conditions of the govt. so lets the music play and we start dancing on those tunes..i mean we can not break laws..so now whom would u say sucks..!!medical profession or the law thing...!!(just saying like that)..enjoy your laproscopy as it would be less painful than a needle prick..and don't forget to see your gall bladder if allowed to..u would see the real sucker there..lol;-)
