I think this is new to most consumers....virtual credit card....i found this in my HDFC bank....
This thing is ideally made to suit online shoping without any worries...every time a new card number is generated and we can assign a fixed amout to it....by this we can prevent misuse of credit card information by online vendors...

ya and you can even use your reliance mobile as HDFC virtual credit card. here reliance mobile becomes credit card and mobile number becomes credit card number,so even in case of mobile phone loss the credit card details cannot be used as there is no magnetic reader,signature or CVV number which is used for authorization.
