My Parrotlet

I had a green-rumped parrotlet, if any of you know what that is, it is the smallest type of parrot in the world. They are smarter than parakeets, and more calm and quiet and nice. Her name was Kiwi, since she was green. She would happily sit on my shoulder and watch me on the computer, or try to talk to me, or fly onto random things, or listen to music (and try to sing along). I had her for about half a year, until she started laying eggs. It wasn't any body's fault, it was just how her body wanted to work, but she was too young to lay eggs and became egg bound. I was at some Christmas thing when she had to put to sleep at the vet offices. I have been looking for a new parrotlet for a while, and they are hard to find. I do not want to have one shipped across the country, because that seems like it would scare the bird, and is expensive anyway. If anyone finds a parrotlet breeder in western Washington, please tell me! And does anybody else have a parrotlet?

I have never heard of a parrotlet but I do have a cockatiel and she used to lay eggs but unfortunately she is an old bird and it made her very sick. I myself would love to know more about a parrotlet, if anyone out there has any info that would be great.
