recently, i find myself become a lover of classical music.i wonder whether can a person love music without knowing why?i just enjoy it when i listen to.actually, i uesd to have a optional object in university. the teacher played famous compositions every lesson, and told us all the basic background information about them. but i found it helpful to my sleeping and took all the classic music as lullabies.
why i become a fan of this old art is that i watched a japanese cartoon named ?????????. it's a story about two students whose major is piano.one of them is great in piano but hope to become a director, another is a piano genius but just take teacher as her goal. classical music appear the cartoon through out. i think it encourages a huge number of classical music players and really moved me.
so i think there must classical music lover too here, would like to share your experience or feeling with us?

Hi Crinne, don't worry about enjoying classical music, it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you:)
I used to be a DJ in several nightclubs, and have played music of all sorts and worked with many bands. Even so, I've liked classical music since school. I heard Wagners 'Ride of the Valkyries', and Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana', and was hooked on the stuff. As I've got older, my tastes in the classical have changed a bit, but I still love listening to any music that 'moves' me emotionally. I still find time to listen to many other types of music, including Faye Wong (I am suitably embarrassed).
If you enjoy piano music, than Rachmaninov and Liszt are your men.
Keep enjoying music, whatever types you enjoy are right for you.
All the best

i like violin, and i think Carmen Fantasy for Violin and Orchestra is great, i always listen to it over and over again without distaste.i like piano also. singing as playing piano is one of my dreams, but it's difficult to become true i think, because my fingers are not long enough.
