As per me, the percentage can be even more than 70%. Reseason behind it may be nobody likes to discuss (always)drawbacks of self n they seek for some sort of pleasure by pointing out those in other people.

It is good to talk about other people to learn from them either they do good or bad. Other people experiences sets example t us and we need to talk about it to have something we could learn.

It is a vicarious pleasure to talk about others. Some satisfaction they get out of it. It is a time pass for some people. One way it is needed that we should know what is going on around us. But too much gossipy is too bad.

Maybe because they feel very hard to talk about themselves to the others.If they just talk about himself to the others,how the ideas can be expanded. And one thing the best thing when we talk about others,we can learn new lesson and also more motivation.For example:When our teacher told about the success of Albert Einstein become a great Scientist,it wil make us more motivation in study and try to be the next great person!

I think it is easier to talk about somone else and their faults than it is to chat about your own faults. also I think it makes some people feel better about themselves.

hi i'm not sure how you come up with your statistics but in my opinion people are so connected with each other that we cant help talking about the others. be it a fact or mere gossips. we are all interconnected. they say that we must mind our own business, but come to think of it, others lives might be our business, because we care, we symphatize, we hate them because they are doing things which are not really good. see things in a positive way.

It is better to find faults with others, than with yourself. Everyone wants to prove that he/she is innocent and nice. People enjoy talking about others because, it is easiest thing to do. What about you?
