I'm a term employee for the GOvernment. My position is scheduled to go away. If I resign so that I can have the time to look for other work can I draw unemployment.

I think it is situational. I resigned in July and I am receiving unemployment. Of course, this is in South Carolina. They reviewed my case and based on the reason I resigned, they approved my unemployment, I only had to wait the mandatory 7 days to get a check.

no, if you resign or quit your job for any reason you cannot collect unemployment...you can collect if you are fired...go figure
