Do You Ever Become Super Hungry After Having Flu Or A Cold Leave Your Body?

The cold that I was miserable with has finally gone, and my immune system has been declared "The Winner!" by unanimous decision! :) That little monster gave me headaches, muscle-aches and sore sinuses and whole lot of other symptoms, but the worst was that it absolutely destroyed my appetite! For those of you who know how much I love food and cooking, this really whacked me, but good! For eight straight days, even the very thought of food, made me feel emptier than a stripper's clothing closet, and all of this happened right when I should be getting ready for September's cooking contests. Well that's all gone now, and my appetite came roaring back so much so, that I ate a full three meals yesterday- I normally eat two, and was looking around for more! LOL! :) No more canned soup and dry crackers for me! Today I'm having Basmati pilaf and Salmon and a chocolate cherry Tira Misu for dessert, all by myself!(I want to make sure that the bug is gone, I don't want to ever spread this stuff around) Here are 64 great Basmati recipes: http://www.recipezaar.com/recipes.php?q=basmati So share with me your After-The-Bug Stories! Do start to feel better immediately as far as your appetite is concerned, or does it take a while? How often do you get colds/flu syptoms a year? (How me it's almost never) Have FUN with this, and i hope you are feeling better soon! :)

Ah yes the after sickness eating rush-- yes I have had that- then I want to eat everything in sight...LOL...so much for losing weight when your sick ...LOL My sister is now in the hospital for the same cold/flu symptoms you had- she has been sick for a month now and her legs and feet started to swell last week so she went to the hospital and they admited her, she had water around her heart- and the cold and flue would have never gone away had she not gone to the hosital- consider yourself lucky that you survived this bug-- I had it for a month and a half and I still dont feel 100%. But anyway - this whole time everytime she ate anything she felt sick- so she was hardly eating- but now she feeels so much better she is eating again..she said she can't wait to get home to eat real food- however the dr told her that she has to watch her salt intake from now on.

This bug hangs on and on, Shammie! :) It's trying to find places to hide in my body so it can strike sgain, but I'm wise it now... I should wish that Money could hang around me for so long! :) My bout with this stuff caused me to lose weight and I'm not a big guy, anyway... in fact, I could stand to gain a few pounds... my diet actually doesn't include a lot of fat, but I'm starting to crave something that's rich... maybe fettucine with shrimp and a bucket of cheese sauce, YUM! :)

Didn't mean to make you hungry! :) The little Monster also caused backaches and muscle cramps... for the first time in years, I had to take some OTC painkillers, and I was not pleased! :(
