I hate the music my 16 year old is listening to. I must be getting old.

I feel very old every time my 16 year old puts her music on it sounds like just a noise to me. I keep asking her what that junk is. If she shows me a picture of her favorite group I think they look a mess. My problem is that my mother used to say the same thing to me. I feel really really old.

I'm very lucky... I go to concerts with my daughter and my granddaughter because we all love the same band!! When we aren't together, I know they have thrash metal, etc. that they listen to, but then I have my opera...
We don't need to agree on everything all the time... I think the reason we are so close is that we don't judge each other... it keeps us interesting to have different influences!

well my daughter and i listen to the same music, but on top 40 (she is 14) and recently a friend of ours (who is 25) said i knew more current music than she did!
but neither one of us is into gangster or anything like that...but we do agree on most music choices.
