Do you like to make your dishes hot and spicy? I just had a Smart Ones forzen entree that was chicken enchiladas and OMG... my mouth feels like it could just about cry! I use a lot of spices when cooking but try to shy away from anything too hot as I'm sensative to it. I have been learning to tolerate it more and like some slightly hot spiced foods since living where I'm at now. But my lunch today made me wonder just how hot people really like their food?

Oh I really love hot food and I always have hot food. They make me feel better and more energetic (I don't know why). Usually I add so much chili to my dishes that my friends would freak out. And I love that spicy feeling left in the mouth and on the lips *laughs*. I would feel really uncomfortable if I don't get to eat spicy food for awhile. I guess I am really used to it! But sometimes my mom would cook something really spicy and that would kill me *laughs*.

Wow that's pretty brave! I can't handle the spicy hot foods very well, I hate that burning feeling and don't like the taste. Once in a while I can do something that semi-hot but that's about it.

i can't handle the really hot stuff. i like it a bit spicy, but habanero (sp?)hot is too hot. I don't use Tabasco or hot sauce. I DO know that if caught off guard with some TOO hot food, drinking milk or eating bread can help. DON"T drink water or soft drinks it will only make it worse!!

I'm the same way. Thanks for the tips! I discovered that rice soothes instantly too.

i want some of my food spicy, but not all. some of my frieds put tabasco on anything they eat. if i cook curry then i want it hot but not too hot. i have four kids and they can eat when its too hot. when i cook something mexican then i put some chilli too, or tabasco to make it hot but again not too hot.

I keep this huge bottle of Valentina's around and pretty much cover everything with it...it's my condiment of choice. One of these days I'm gonna regret it, but for now I'm livin spicey!

Hi, gmakesmoney. I love spicy foods. I just ate a Southwestern salad. It has hot tortillas on it. It was very delicious. I also have some hot hotter sauce too. I don't really like it when it is so hot because, I can't taste any of my food.
