Hi!Well, normally, one needs a minimum of 6 hours sleep;max going up to 8 hours a day.If you are sleeping more than 10 hours a day,
you have to start actioning towards this.Do not go to sleep immediately after eating.By tne by how old are you?? If you can get into some sports activity & yoga, nothing like it.Allot some time towards your hobbies or whatever you love doing so that you get engrossed & postpone your sleep. If this does not help,it is better to consult a Doctor.
GOD BLESS!!

I have noticed that I am a lot more tired than usual these days. Perhaps it is down to getting older, possibly due to the weather I don't know. I feel tired a lot of the time now, and don't seem to get much sleep at night. Perhaps getting more exercise can help

I try to sleep between five and either hours a night, but lately my fiance has been wroking so late that we've had to stay up late just so that we can spend some time with eachother. I'm extremely glad that it's Friday, and he will have two days off.

Hi. Im pretty sure I must get about 7-8 hours sleep everyday... I know its healthy to get get 8 hours of sleep at least in a 24 hour period... So my sleep routine is quiet good, compared to others I know... In the past I would probably get about 5-6 hours straight of unsettled sleep, and most of it was me being so over tired, that I couldnt get to sleep and would just get all irritable, and read a book until I did nod off...

I sleep about 12 hours a day, but I dont' feel very well. I'm not energy. Now I quit my job, so i have lots of free time a day, then I spend 5 hours on making money online, and 3 hours on reading, and 2 hours on playing cards with my boyfriend, sometimes i will spend 2 hours on go shopping with my friends. Frankly, I like such life, but I have no more money to take a travel, so i have to work hard online and earn more money for travel.

Yes that definitely sounds like too much sleep and as the others said you should get a check up. I could never sleep that long. I try to sleep anywhere from 4 to 7 hours, that is I am in bed that long but seldom get that much sleep. Sometimes I think I actually get more real sleep on the nights when I have less time to try.

Hi yiumao! I really am not sure if something is wrong with you. Are you feeling sad, lonely or depressed? If you are feeling that way, maybe you should talk it out with your family or maybe you are just have that luxury to just sleep for a longer period than us. Anyway this just my view and it may be a hundred percent incorrect. Haha...Take care and have a nice day!

I agree with #1 comment up there. I've had iron poor blood ( not enough red blood cells) and that made me sleepy. I also had that when I started having high blood pressure. Also when I had a benigh (no cancer) tumour. So usually sleeping longer and longer does indicate a health problem.

I don't get enough sleep. I can only sleep 4-5 hours at a time because of my MS,my muscles contract while I am asleep and I get too stiff if I sleep longer. But I end up very tired during the day and because I work, I can't take a nap.
But the thing about sleep is that if you get too much, you get used to too much. The more you sleep, the less activity and the sleepier you are. Expending energy actually increases your energy. Try going outside for a walk instead of taking a nap. Just don't exercise too close to bedtime. Set an alarm for an hour earlier, go to bed at a reasonable time. However, depending on your age and lifestyle, 10 hours may not be too long. The concern is that you still feel sleepy. Since that may be the sign of a health problem, see your doctor.
