Windows, Linux, Mac?

Okay, I have been a Windows user all my life, mostly for the games that come out for Windows, but I don't know if going through what we have to go through is worth it. I mean for most people Windows runs great with no issues, but for us select few who end up on the wrong side of Windows, where are we to go? Google? The only people that offer constant 24/7 chat is the computer makers, HP, Dell, Voodoo, if you have to ask someone on a forum, it could be days before someone responds to what you have said. I really don't know what to say about Linux, or Mac, but thats why I made a discussion, so we could discuss our different experiences with these operating systems.
