I think the best bowler is Sir Richard Hadlee from New Zealand. It is difficult to shoulder the bowling yourself without much support from the other end. While Akram had support of Imran Khan and later on Waqar Younis, it is not the case with Hadlee.
Hadlee is similar to Kapil Dev. Hadlee held the record for the highest wicket taker in the test matches for some time. Kapil Dev broke that record.

I'm a great fan of wasim akram both on and off the field. Who can forget that ball which clean bowled chris lewis in the 1992 world cup final. (or is it chris lewis, im not sure, but hope u got what i'm talking about) He is a great ambasador for the game of cricket, right now a performing well as a comentator, i love watching his commentry aswell. But regarding the question of the greatest bowlers, i think akram has tough cometition, people like Ambrose, Walsh, Mcgrath and Warne. For me the best bowler till date is Shane warne, he was a pure magician with the cricket ball, lets forget his off the court behaviour coz we are not discussing that here, but on the field its shane warne all the way! Akram will definitely be there in the top 5 great bowlers of all time.

there are lot of bowlers from the past times.to say actually i am interested towards batting that means i am also interested towards bowling also. but most thing i like batting and coming to bowlers in the past times . there are great bowler like ambrose, shane warne . so many bowlers . we must not say who is best. because every body is having their own style in my openion th ebowlers who have got the average below 25 and who got economy less than 4 will always be a best bowler in my openion.what will you say about this.
