Moving house quickly

I thought that I would have weeks to pack my belongings and sort out my life this end before I moved. Now things have changed and I have to do it all in 4 days. Pack-up and clean out my family home and my disabled brother-in-laws flat, as well as sort out all our affairs, just as changing utility suppliers, getting the children into a new school, arranging dialysis for my brother-in-law ect...
I have a fab support group though. My husband is like superman, the kids have been troopers and my parents have been amazing. But it's still ME that has to make sure that EVERYTHING happens and falls into place.
I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience?

I had four days to move 13 years worth of my life and belongings out of my home before it was re-possessed. It was a mobile home and I could't take care of it anymore, health problems. I didn't get everything out and they don't give you your stuff unless you have quite a bit of money so, stress city! I got most of it and tried to get the most important stuff but still. I had my family to help and they paid for most of the moving expenses and what not. It was almost one of the worst and most stressful experiences that I have ever been through. Even worse than my divorce even. Yikes! Good luck to you on your move!

Like you I have many years of life here to move. Luckily I'm not having my house re-possessed, but I do have to get rid of a lot of our belongings. We have to downsize BIG BIG time lol.
I also have two beautiful dogs to re-home. I can't take them with us and it's heart breaking for the entire family to have to part with them. The biggest problem is I can't find anyone to take care of them, not even a pound until they can be re-housed. Don't know what the heck I'm gona do.
And you're right about it being more stressfull than a divorce. This particular house move is a relocation to the other side of the country and is the one of the toughest things I've ever had to do.
Thankfully, I feel really super strong in mind and body this week. We all wanted this move so much, it's that driving motivation that's keeping us all going.
I do hope that you are settled somewhere nice and are happy now :). Take care.

Hi Jane_Harper! I think you have it all taken care of. You have a support group and it seems almost everything is all set and organized. I did some moving out too a couple of years ago and all I did is packed evrything and labeled everything so nothing will be amissed. I believe that you are well organized and know that everything will be running smoothly. Good luck and have a nice day!
