Do you have a rocking chair at home? Do you like to sit on it?

We used to have a rocking chair. I really miss it. It was like the old grandma kind and I really liked it...but we had a house fire and now we don't have it anymore.

I love rocking chairs and I sometimes wish I had one. Rocking chairs moving on their own are indeed very scary.I guess I would leave the room in double quick time if that happened while I was around.I am a lover of ghost stories and have actually seen them,but to say that I am not afraid of them will be a big lie. So if you do get a rocking chair one day (and you dont have to be old to have one)make sure it is in a well lit area.!!!!LOL!!!

I have a few rocking chairs in my house. In my kitchen I have an Amish rocking chair, made by an Amish craftsman back in the 1940's. In the living room I have a rocker, as well as in my bedroom. I also have a white wicker rocker on my porch that is part of a 3 piece set. I live in a century home, so antique style rockers look natural here and everybody enjoys them because they bring to mind a much simpler life-style. These rocking chairs have rocked a lot of our ancestors, as well as lots of little babies and children. I think it's the gentle rhythm of the rocking that is so soothing to us all. I've never had one rock on it's own, but I have had plenty of other strange, creepy things happen in this circa 1833 house!

i don't have one but i'd like to have.. it seems that i'll feel comfortable sitting there an make me fall asleep immediately... it's on way of relaxing yourself, having one.. but sometimes, kids make fun riding in it to the extent that they fall down.. that's why, i don't buy one yet because i still a kid, maybe when my kids grown up, then i'll have one for sure.

i got a rocking chair too in my house and it was from my grandparents, when they passed away the rocking chair still stay in the house very creepy even the kid feel creepy about the chairs, before we put it in the salas, we use it whenever we watch TV. but after so many years we feel that grandparent has been back for the chair we saw shadow of a person sitting in the chair so we decided to burn it. because its from the old parent maybe they want it. kids are afraid of that.
