Do you always say your honest email address on the internet

I know someone who said that if they have to enter their email address on a site and he doesn't have to verify it then he just makes up a false one. His first and second name with yahoo.com. Obvioulsy if someone else has that email address they are going to be wondering where all this stuff is coming from.
I tend to use an old one that I rarely check but still my current email address has over 1300 UNREAD messages because I am a sign up Junkie.
What do you do?

I have loads of email addresses all for different sorts of things. Some of them I hardly ever look at so if they get spammed it doesn't really matter to me. I don't use false ones though cos even if you don't have to verify it what if the company needed to contact you about something you would want to know? Mind you - as I hardly ever look at some of them anyway I suppose I would likely miss an important message anyway LOL!

I always give me real email address when filing out a form or something online. I hate not doing so, as I feel like I am being unhonest or something. With that in mind, kind of like you, I do have two email addresses. If I do an online contest or something, I usually use the other email address, not my main one.

I just keep one email for things like registration. Then if there are codes or passwords that I may need later, they are there in an email up on some web email's server and I never have to worry about losing them or forgetting them. It keeps my real email address a lot cleaner, much less spam. If you use a temporary email, you won't have the sign-in information after it expires.

I have a yahoo account that I use for most things I sign up for.
For friends and family, they'll get an actual one.

I have several e-mailbox in different websites. As I seldom login in small website, I always give my real e-mail address. The difference is if the e-mail address is in common use or not.

I use a new e-mail address for almost everything I join, I have some which don't have my name on it at all, eg eskimo@..... and also my main one which I can put a different prefix, which means I have unlimited e-mail addresses, this is quite good as I then know if the email address doesn't match the sender then the e-mail is spam or even a phishing one.
I don't use false e-mails addresses, but if I wanted to send out one that I would never read I would use junk@... and I automatically delete everything to that without even seeing it.

I have a habit of giving my email id to friends only. For rest of the places on internet I use fake email ids to surf anonymously. There is no need to give your email id to those whom you don't know or do not want to know. For business purposes I have made separate email ids and i never share this email id with anyone. This helps me in atleast of becoming sure that none of my friends will dupe me. So its better to be in safe side rather to be sorry.
Have a nice day.

I always put my real email addresses. because I can't get what I want (like when downloading a music or anything) unless my email add is real because I would have to confirm or verify it. plus, sometimes I forget the name of the site and I depend on the updates given by that site so I can go back there. but sometimes when I'm seeing a one-time deal only, I uncheck the subscribe to this or that or notify me when blah blah.. ^__^

Unlike you my dear friend, I am not a sign up junkie. lol. But when I do visit sites and need to enter an email address, I tend to use my hotmail address every time. I've had it for over 10 yrs now, and haven't had any problems with spamming b/c of using it, so that is nice.
And to be honest, it never occurred to me to use a false email address. Probably because most of the time when I need to enter it, it's so that I can enter a draw for a prize of some sort, or joining a site where I need to confirm my registration.
