I recommend my favorites: The Lakehouse, My Sassy Girl, Windstruck, Last Present, and Sad Movies, which I really really like. All of these are Korean love stories but each has a different plot and style, which does not have the typical happy-ending. I swear you'd love them. I'm looking forward to discussing them with you someday.

I heard a lot of stuff about this movie and how it was "A great love story" so I finally rented it and watched it. I didn't think it was such a great love story, the movie was kind of boring. I'm glad I watched it but I wouldn't watch it again. There wasn't a whole lot for me to recommend anyone else to watch it either.

First and foremost, I like the movie for my personal reasons. I can relate to the story, that's why. I think I know how the characters felt with their forbidden love and I am enraged everytime I hear the same story. I am enraged with the people who laid down the rules of when to love, who to love, and most of all, whom not to love. I'm so sick of norms kept by our society regarding personal relationships. why do we have laws on whom not to love when we are speaking of love? i don't get it. in the movie, i was particularly very touched near the end when the genuine love of jack to enis was very obvious (he kept the bloodstained jacket of his partner as a keepsake of their first duel, remember?)... Their love was unquestionably true and lasting (even in the absence of the other)but is that well accepted in our society? that's what I'm enraged about. sometimes people just create rules for their own sake, not even thinking if good possibilities are hindered because of them... well, i know I already said too much here. Anyway, I also have objective observations about the movie, which is the second reason why i like the movie. I like the movie because i think it was a well-made one. the setting was very scenic and reflective of the idea behind the story. the nature-backdrop reflects the genuine love the main characters have for each other. in addition to that, the costumes and backdrops reflect the 16th century america, which makes the setting more realistic. the characters were apt for their role, too, aside from the fact that they played their roles well. both enis' and jack's eyes have a feminine touch to it.

you know what, what you said really touch my soul,i am strong after reading it.'the genuine love of jack to enis was very obvious(he kept the bloodstained jacket of his partner as a keepsake of their first duel, remenber?)' yes, absolutely i remember, the difference is that i don't think so much and feel so strong as you.comparing with you,i am not so sensitive.^-^the love of jake to enis is really tough and strong,it is just like the love of the two main characters of titanic,oh i remember, jake and rose, isn't it?usually it occurs to me that man-man love is fragile,it is not gonna be long.i don't know whether it is true or not.but i want to say something, the reason why man-man love make people uncomfortable is that they are different, i think people always feel uncomfortable if something is different.whats more, just like aids, people got afraid of aids, because they were not familiar to them.look at now,i don't think it is a terrible thing to huge a aids people.maybe man-man love is not new.because it always has man-man love, but many people dont know much about that, that is the problem, but things will change, just like aids.
just have little faith,^_^it is from PRISON BREAKs wentworth millers mouth.by the way,i think prison break is great!

I only saw the movie once, but I thought it was a beautiful film. Heath and Jake did such a great job in the movie, it was definitely some of Heath's best acting. I need to watch it again.

Meh.. I think it was okay. I didn't totally hate it. I think that the point of the movie could have been made in a different way, and still been good though. However, that is why the screenplay was written by someone else and not myself, I suppose.
