Tell me: if you remember, what is your last conscious thought before you go to sleep. every night, I feel thankful that I am in the arms of my loving boyfriend, and i feel contentment, but lately I have also been thinking about myLot: -what discussions to create or respond to -adding interests -people to refer etc. does any body else have this problem?and forgetting mylot for a moment, the original discussion: what do you think about before you fall asleep?Malyck

I'm a bit of a soccer-freak, so I'm normally thinking of ways to improve my goalie-ing or just thinking about the game we've just played. I'm usually physically tired from the exertion, so going back through it in my mind makes me drowsy too.

I don't normally think about real sports, but I do sometimes number-crunch or try to work out some sort of problem/puzzle in my head as it tires me out. Sometimes I even find that I wake up knowing the answer! =D It's so interesting to find out peoples different methods!

My last thought is trying to get so rest, because I am so tired before I go to bed, my last thought is let me go to bed and get some rest.

Well I have a routine, first I give my thanks to God for everything in that day. Then I get comfortable and the last think I think is... please let me get some sleep tonight. :oD I have insomnia quite a bit so if I sleep all night long, it's wonderful.

=] Sounds like a pretty good routine to me! I used to suffer from insomnia, because I wouldn't let myself relax and unwind. It can get a bit messy =P Thanks for the response, sunshinecup!

LOL - I was thinking of mylot before I went to sleep last night! Usually though I tell myself a story before I go to sleep. Side note, I haven't referred anyone I know - if people I know are online they have no time for mylot - my husband does home work Emory Riddle and does research and my other friends on base are usually playing World of Warcraft and the like. I did put it on a mom message board Thursday and got three referrals. So far they haven't done anything yet though! I also play the grateful game. I think of what things I'm grateful for that day or in life. Sometimes I have myself think of negative things that happened and I'm grateful for that too - always a reason from it to be grateful. Sounds crazy I know. I did a silent meditation retreat one weekend and one part was guided. First we had to think of someone we loved and wish them happiness and receiving what they want or need in life, receiving love and such. Then we had to do the same excercise for someone who hurt us. This was so hard, I did it but I cried. Okay I win the prize for being able to ride Tandy Tangent so far off the path of uncharted thought (Piers).

=] When we were first getting together, my boyfriend used to tell me stories to put me at ease and help me sleep, and whilst I slept he would continue. I used to wake up whenever he stopped. =P How rude, sure you wouldn't become active after a referral?!?! They're missing out on your excellent posts! I've never done an official retreat or anything, but part of my road to recovery post-depression/cutting etc was a similar sort of thing, I would find all the positives in that period of my life and allow myself to be grateful for these, and even send some positive energy to the person who hurt me most at that time. It was extremely hard for me too, and I have had to do it a lot more recently, after my parents divorce to make sure I don't go insane with anger at both of them for separate reasons. =P Tangents rock! We should definitely get prizes/awards/overthetop praise for our abilities! LOL Mal.

I don't quite get what you mean there about forgetting myLot, but the last thing in my mind before I go to sleep are the tons of work I have to do the follwing day. I have to search for reference, write an article, and go out to run some errands. That's the last thing tha's in my mind before I go to sleep.

Oh, sorry, the sentence was supposed to read: "and forgetting mylot for a moment, the original discussion:" Because I think I ended up getting off track.. Probably doesn't make any more sense now, though =P You sound very busy, Ricko. I try to think of all my plans before I hop into bed, and make sure anything I need is prepared and ready, and then I just... sleep =D

For now, my husband and I are together, but I am going to have to fly to Canada next week, for a few months. I still live there, and he still lives in the USA. We are working on getting my greencard, and getting him a Canadian work visa. For now I'm just glad we're together, even if it's only for a few more days.

A few more days that you'll make the most of, before you have to be apart, no doubt. =D Good luck with green card + visa =D And have as much fun as possible in your off-time! Thanks for your response, Mal. =)

I have the same problem, if i start watching something scary before bed, even though I'm into horrors and all that, I normally have to do a run-through of whether the doors and windows are locked and remind myself that I'm not going to be attacked by zombies! =P

I usually try to find something nice to read, or pray, and focus on something positive before going to sleep. That seems to help me somewhat in getting to sleep. Now, STAYING asleep is another matter.

Oh yeah, then there's the whole staying asleep issue... I generally find that the more positive I feel when I get to sleep, the more likely I am to stay asleep (unless I need to go to the toilet =P), because I'm not stressed out and on-edge.

Hi, i normally dont think about any kind of work beofre i sleep as then i cannot sleep and i keep thinking ! And as i work on mylot, a few minutes beofre i sleep, so thats never on my mind. I see a little bit of television and that puts me instantly to sleep too. Just beofre that I simply thank the lord for the lovely day that i have had, and speak to him for a few minutes, asking him to bless my family and make us better the next day, that is the last consious thought on my mind i think. And i have been following this, for a long time now, so its a small pray that i end up my day with . Yes my husband is beside me , so hugging close to him and sleeping makes the night complete and comfortable for me.

usually one of my last thoughts is "I need to get a new mattress". LOL The one I have is so worn out I can feel the wood slats underneath.. But other than that, I usually think about the most interesting thing that happened that day. Usually it's something from myspace or msn. The best friends I have live a fair way away and online is when I get to talk to them most... Mylot comes into that too.

Hey Dana, "You Need a New Mattress!" Depending on my day, I either focus on the most boring/frustrating or exciting thing. I generally try to go with the positives for a worthwhile rest. =] So you think about your friends through an online medium, or you just think about the website? Thanks for posting =D

well usually when I want to asleep I think about 20 minutes. I think to works and acts I've done that day and I think to my goals and how much I've paid attention to that during the day.

Honestly, since I left my job, the last thought would be how I can earn additional income from home using the net and that if the sites I joined are actually legit. I also think about the things that I'll do the next day so that everything will turn out right.

you bet my lot is pretty addicting. especially when you know that you are starting to earn more. haha. on the other hand, i share the same thought with you about feeling thankful that you are with a very loving boyfriend. i guess you would feel how right it is when you are with someone who appreciates you and love you and all you can think about is thank God for sending you somebody you really need. :) i guess that's what i think of every night before i go to sleep. :)

mylot i think is that a place for us to exchange our views on something and can make friends.we do not need to care about it too much.just concentrent on it when you get in and discuss any topics you intrested in.i never bother about it(although i didn't get too much earnings). i am a methodical person so before i sleep i often think about what i want to do tomorrow. different people have different last thought.maybe oneday i have a boyfriend my last thought would be about the happy time we spent together.
