Do you skip meals?

This morning, I wanted to report in the office at exactly 8AM. (We have no time-in-time-out.) We just have to be in the office before 9AM. I wanted to be an hour early because I have some works to finish, print some stuffs, and check on some of my client's files. I only had coffee and two piece of bread this morning. In short, I skipped breakfast: The Most Important Meal Of The Day. *huhuhu* And now, I can feel that my stomach is on "rally!" and is outraged. *hehehehe* :p I'll eat some crackers for awhile. *** Enjoy your weekend everyone! God bless! \(",)_

I don't have regular schedule when to eat my meals. So I guess I cant call it skipping breakfast if I have it in 11AM or 12PM. I eat whenever I feel hungry, and I'm worried because I don't feel hungry most of the time. I really should try to have three square meals a day. Everyone around me says I will suffer the effects of my abuse later when I grow old. Yikes... Don't want that.

You sound JUST like me! Do we eat when we are not hungry because we're supposed to or just eat when we feel hungry? I am grappling with that constantly.

Hi sr0415. Yes, you’re absolutely right that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is necessary to eat your breakfast everyday. I don’t skip meals in the morning because I know it would be of great advantage if you’re going to eat your breakfast. When we eat, it gives us energy for the whole day, thus we can do our routine activities without getting tired easily. We can finish our work faster without hassle. Our health also will be in good hands. That’s it. Have a nice day and God speed!

I always skip a meal especially breakfast because I always awake late. I have a work at 8 but I wake up past 6am. So, I only have the time to take a bath. I have to allot at 1 and a half hour to travel because there is a heavy traffic during the rush hour. I wanted to come on time because I don't want my boss to get mad at me again. And I don't want to have an undertime on my time because it means salary deduction.

I try not to skip any meals especially the most important one, breakfast. I enjoy eating. No matter how busy I still try my best to arrange the works so as I could get my time to have my meal. Of course I couldn’t arrange it accurately as what I wish. Sometimes it might be earlier or sometimes it might be later. If I’m going for long journey drive I always take along with me some foods which are kept in a vacuum box and hot coffee in a vacuum flask. In this way I still manage to have my meal even in a long journey drive.

I had started a similar discussion, few weeks ago and I was overwhelmed by the number of responses I recieved (probably more than 100). I normally do not skip my breakfast any cost, untill and unless there is some emergency. I feel that it is the most important meal of the day, and we should not leave our homes without having anything. Breakfast gives us required energy and stamina for executing our tasks. I may skip my dinner, but not my breakfast.

If I slept late the previous night, chances are, I'll be up very late the next morning. That means, instead of eating a separate breakfast and lunch, I'll be having a heavy and sumptuous brunch. During term-time, if I have to finish a certain task or some paper works, I sometimes skip meals to finish whatever it is I need to finish.

There are three meals a day - breakfast, lunch, supper. However, accordingly, we should eat when we are hungry. I don't conform to this and as much as possible I eat the three meals a day. But again, sometimes there are really some reasons that we skip meals, especially breakfast.

Sometimes i dont get appetite to eat..eventhen i take some little food in the early morning with a glass of milk to stay energetic in office till lunch break. even i have to report in office by 9 and therefore leave home by 7.30 am itself.

I always skip meals. I will start working and look up and 8 or 9 hours have passed and I haven't moved from the computer. Today I had a one half of a low fat Subway sub, a bag of pretzels, and a tiny piece of yesterday's birthday cake I mean yesterday. It's past today at 2:26 a.m. even though it's technically still today to me. Before I go to bed I will have something small. Tomorrow, I will make up for it with something more nutritious. My eating has become as erratic as I am. Not good.

It is no healthy to skip your breakfast since breakfast is the first meals of the whole day. When you have a complete nutrition breakfast, you will have more energy and effective to work on everything. Start your day with more effort.

I rarely skip breakfast. It's my favorite meal of the day! :) but sometimes I skip dinner. If I am in a bad mood, or fighting with my husband, I often don't have the stomach for food. So sometimes I skip dinner if I am angry about something.

Now and then I do if I am really busy and don't have time to sit down and have a proper lunch or breaky. IF that happens then I end up snacking throughout the day.

Hello! I don't normally have breakfast here as I don't have time to cook and sit down to enjoy eating it. Before, in Philippines I always have breakfast because it's part of our family routine having breakfast everyday together and we have a maid who prepares it. Here, my husband and my stepson doesn't have breakfast. My husband just have coffee in the morning and my stepson just cereals or sometimes just hot chocolate. So I feel that its a waste of my effort to prepare breakfast if they're not going to have it anyway. I just have coffee before going to work and some biscuits, there are mornings that I have some cereals or warm milk. My breakfast here is just coffee and biscuits. I though miss having breakfast, and I know I can have breakfast if I want to, but what for? if i'm going to be eating alone. Thanks. Take care. cheers! :D

Hi, i try not to nd mostly i make it a point to stuff myself really well int he morning, though half the time i am never hungry that early in the morning, but i know what happens to me mid-day, and i feel like my stomach is getting all achy and crampy and hunger pangs are so much at that time, that i would just gobble anything that comes my way. And if we do avoid breakfast, we eat double the amount for lunch which will harm our digestive system too, plus wed fall sick within a few days, if we keep skipping breakfast. Skipping other meal times not good too, infact small snacks in between are healthy too. I would suggest that incase you are in rush and cannot eat breakfast early mornings, just carry some fruit with you, or chopped up salad etc, that you can eat whenever you do manage to get a little free at work, never miss it, am sure you would feel better after eating and work more efficiently.

I skip meals daily as I usually only eat 2 meals a day if you can even call them full meals. I don't eat breakfast much as most breakfast foods don't sit right with me for some reason. On days i work I generally don't eat until my lunch break at work and then something when I get home unless I have food around the house with no cooking time required, then I'll eat when I wake up...I'm lazy in the mornings.
