How to get on well with your boss?

Are you getting on well with your boss? I think I am not getting on well with my new boss. In my mind he is looking down upon me. In his mind , I am not his assistant. When we go to a meeting, he would tell me not to follow him. I don't know what's the problem with us. Because of this reason, I am thinking of changing my job.

I am now, a few months back I had a problem with a new employee and my boos didn't seem to be doing much about it. But we were able to settle our diffrences so things are much better now.
