I have not lost any more weight then my normal flucuation. I lost ten pounds before I started Zoloft and I didn't gain it back....Prozac makes me super nauseas and I feel like throwing up quite often. I haven't gain or lost any extra weight so far on Prozac but I also don't have much to spare. 5'6" 123lbs.

Prozac is a really strong antidepressant, I was on them for a couple years, but even though it does suppress your appetite, they make you bloated, retain fluids, and a lot of people put on weight with them.

I have been on Prozac as well as other anti-depressants. Prozac is not one that I remember causing weight gain. However, I do believe that as long as you have an exercise regimen in place you should be able to maintain your weight. Going for a half hour walk once a day, or two 15 minute walks a day should help. If you want to LOSE weight then increase the distance. I have lost 35 pounds through walking and now with a little help from Slimfast. But initially, I lost 30 pounds from walking 4 miles a day 3-4 days a week. It is the easiest exercise, not hard on your body, and is emotionally enlightening as well. Good luck!

I dont know if everyone experiences the benefit but I lost 20 pounds when I started taking prozac. I was happy AND skinny! What an awesome combo. Too bad I had just cut my hair super short. But I was on prozac! And I was skinny! I didn't care!:)
