Do your dogs tear up toilet paper rolls or shoes when you've been gone?

My mum's little dog certainly does, it often breaks things in the house or rips up pillows/couches etc.
I've never much liked small, 'indoor' dogs, so I never had this problem with my boxer or Labrador. They would sometimes just refuse to be obedient, but they never ripped anything apart.

Sometimes dogs want their own way and rise up against their dictactor! Viva la revolution! I don't like the small dogs I've met either - a lot of people I know just let them poop and such in the house. They seem to get into more trouble and snap at people more often. Many, like a poodle that belonged to my mom, have a Napoleon complex and try to take on the big dogs. And they're yippy!
The large dogs I've met seem very intelligent and more patient with children and and such.
With that said, I know not all small dogs are like that. Some are sweet and cuddly.

I agree, it depends on the dog,
but for myself, I'd rather own a big dog -
boxers, labradors and retrievers are my favourites,
because they're beautiful and known for their personalities.
My neighbours have always had irritating yappy little dogs that start up at like 4 am.
That might have something to do with my general disdain for them.
At the same time, plenty of my friends have small dogs that I adore.
It all comes down to the dog's nature.

I have three dogs and they are good when left alone. My dog Martha like to chew toilet paper when she was smaller but hasn't done it for a while. But she would do it when I was home so I know she wasn't acting out.
One day I was in the shower and she apparently came in the bathroom and got the package with three rolls left and after I got out of the shower she brought the wrapper back to me! I looked in the kitchen and she was standing in the middle of the kitchen floor, in the middle of a huge pile of shredded TP, looking at me like, look what I did, mom! I started keeping the TP off the floor after that! She also never chewed shoes but instead would just drag them from one room to another and leave them, so I was always looking for my shoes, usually in different rooms. She's not as ornery now that she's older.
