Do your oven mitts have holes in them?

Do you always burn through your oven mitts? Do you use oven mitts, or just a tea towel?
I've lost track of how many I've had to replace!

I find that some potholders and oven mitts seem to be made of inferior material and don't protect your hands at all. Even the good ones seem to just slow down the heat from reaching you,if you hold the hot pan long enough it will burn through.
I usually get holes in my oven mitts when I accidentally get them too close to the gas flame and set fire to them.

That's one of my exact problems!
I love cooking on gas stoves, but I always seem to burn my mitt while I'm holding the edge of the pot or pan for stirring! =P
Yeah, there's definitely some oven mitts that are just a rip off, you may as well be wearing fingerless gloves!
