I'm doing a little research for an article on people's biggest fears and why they have that fear. It can be something deep or simple. People I have spoken to so far have mentioned death, being alone, spiders, snakes, and clowns. So everyone get posting and tell me your fears. I'm curious what the most common will be.

My biggest fear is spiders. I can't explain how I feel with just the thought of one being close to me. I feel a loss of control and panick. I can control it to an extent if my children are present I will at least make an attempt to kill it because I wouldn't want it to hurt them. I know most spiders are harmless but some are dangerous and even deadly....UGH! I have recently overcome my fear of opening biscuits..The kind that pops when you open the can. I think that stems from my childhood...my cousin would chase me around the house with them and tease me...but I can do it now...lol. Weird...I know!

Ugh...I hate spiders. I'm better than I used to be, but if they come to close they're going to die. Or I'll scream for someone to come kill it for me :) We've got a lot of writing spiders and those little black fuzzy spiders that like to build in houses. Neither are really harmful, so I try to get close to them and observe them a little to overcome my fear. Needless to say, I like having others around to take care of them for me. LOL...yeah, I can see how you'd be afraid of those biscuits after your cousin.

My biggest fear is darkness and whatever thats there in it. To be precise i am afraid of whats in the dark than the darkness. As soon as the lights are switched on i feel the fear vanishing away. i have never heard people havin fears like this before.

I don't think that's too strange or unusual. You never really know what can be hiding in the darkness. When it's light, you can see what the noise in the corner is, but when the lights are out, you never know. I'm sure I didn't really help matters much :) But honestly, I have that fear myself, especially when I'm in places I'm not used to.

I think that is a very real fear. According to everything I've heard, you should have nothing to worry about. Many people have abortions and are fine. Just take care of yourself and see a doctor if you think there is anything seriously wrong.

My biggest fear (as eccentric as it may sound) is dying without leaving a legacy. A legacy being a mark I left on the world and effect my life has caused that triggered some sort of positive change whether it be something big like helping cultivate world peace or something very small like touching the life of someone special in some way. Anyways, that's probably more than anyone ever wanted to know about me heh.

I think many people are afraid of the same thing, whether they admit it or not. We all want to leave something of ourselves behind. I for one, would love to write something that will one day be a classic that later generations will be reading.
