How do you lose weight?
I have tried everything. I have not ate out in about 3 months and have switched to fresh fruit and veggies for snacks. I walk about 9 miles a day at my job, and I still have not lost any weight.
I have been the same weight since like the 10th grade and it only fluctuates by like 8 pounds down, but it never goes up. I have done some really stupid things to try to lose weight especially when I was younger.
I am really at my whits end and have exhausted all of my options that I know of... Does anyone have a sure fire way to lose weight? What has worked for you in the past? Do you have any secrets that work as far as diet and exercise?

All I can suggest is to see your doctor first and see if there is anything other than exercise and a different diet can help.Losing weight mthe right way does take some time but there may be something your doctor can suggest that will make it faster. Good Luck.

Bummer. He is a quack. I would say it is time for a new doctor but these days I figure that you can't change because of insurance.Okay , plan 2.Have you tried Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers? They seem to have a program that works. There has to be a professional that can tell you why you can't lose weight.Plan 3, see a nutritionist and see if there is something in your present diet that is stopping you from losing weight or something that you can add to your diet to help.I hope this helps. Good Luck and take care.

My doctor is a quack!!! LOL
Thank you for posting, and I really don't think I would ask my doctor how to lose weight again, cause everytime I do he always looks at me and says hard work and repitition. WELL DUH I knew that.. But it is not working, He says it won't happen over night, and I always tell him but it should happen over 2 years.. See why I say he is a quack? LOL

Well, I can tell you what worked for us....
No canned foods (except tuna in water and pineapple in its own juice)
No deep-fried foods
Don't use oil (or not much) when frying anything
Eat 3 meals and have 5 snacks a day (make sure the snacks are healthy ones)
No beverages with sugar or calories in it (including fruit juice)
Make sure your meals are high-protein
Don't use many condiments...they have lots of sugar
Take a carb-blocker with 2 of your meals per day
Take Essential Fatty Acids supplement with every meal
Drink lots of water
Remember...NO sodas
It took awhile for us to change our eating habits, but we DID lose weight. We played with it to make it fit and so we would be more likely to stick with it. My husband lost 14 pounds in a month.
If nothing is changing your weight, you might check with a doctor. The weight might not be lost due to a hormonal condition (like thyroid)
Hope this helps! :)

Thanks I will try that, but I have to drive to work because I work 30 miles from home. That would be a bit far to ride my bike.
Thank you for posting and the advice.

i have 4 children and weight 115 lbs and heres how i do it... first of all i eat 6-7 small meals a day by doing this my body has a chance to metabolise the fat producing ingredients. i then go for a walk not to fast nor a long walk because the faster and longer you walk the more muscle you gain anad muscle weighs more then fat. i get 8 hours of sleep and drink lots of water.. good luck
