Has United Lost Its Plot? Will They Win A Trophy At All?

It's only the third game into the season and all they've got are two miserable points. Do you think United will bounce back quickly to recover those lost points? So far the teams they've met are mediocre ones. What's going to happen if they keep losing points like they've never had before? There's no hitman for now, no Ronaldo, no Rooney. Where are the goals going to come from? Defensively, Rio Ferdinand still likes to be a showman, dribbling past opponents, trying to be 'stylo', and losing focussed once a while. At this rate, I don't think they are going to win any trophy at all. Perhaps next season man.

I think this must be one of their worst starts in many seasons. I really don't know what's wrong with them. They are already 7 points from the top at such an early stage, I think it will be an uphill task all the way for them from now on. I don't think teams like Chelsea and Arsenal will easily drop points for them to catch up. They have to start collecting 3 points to get into winning gear again. Maybe this weekend's home-game against Spurs might do it for them.
Let's not give up so soon. In 1992, United also started with 2 pts from 3 games, but they still got the title at the end of the season. So there's hope yet. Rooney and Ronaldo better start firing their cylinders soon.

I am still hopeful that MU will pick up starting from the next match. We have seen their errors, so have they. I am pretty sure the manager will swallow his pride and admit his formula is not working, thereby accepting external input from his critics, the fans.
The main setback, to my analysis, is the lack of strikers. Making matters worse, there seemed to be no game focus in all the three matches although the derby was a little a good match though we lost.
I am very hopeful that we shall pull through.

Good analysis...They seemed to be controlling games most of the time that's because the opponents aren't that strong and quality. But the results count most and that's where they couldn't score goals. I think the current team needs a goal poacher, someone who's tall and strong in the air too.

Their current lack of a quality striker is all too evident at the moment. They dominated yesterday game and the opener against Reading but couldn't find the net in either. It doesn't look to get too much easier with Rooney out for 2 months. We can only hope that Saha and Soksjaer get over their injuries soon.

The papers today said even with Saha and Solkjaer back from injuries, United will still lack bite in goal. The paper compared the lethel van Nisterooy's strike rate to both Saha's and even Rooney's. Do ya think Sir Alex is going for a final summer signing? Nicolas Anelka perhaps?

i have no idea what is wrong with this team, i have not been able to watch any games so far and i missed the one today but this is not good. i mean, i do think that its going to be a liverpool vs chelsea premier league this year.. but there is no way manchester is going to loose the FA... and there eyes are on the champions league as giggs had said.. but i dont know whats wrong... and arsenal cant get passed Blackburn..

yeah for a moment too i was already thinking its going to be a chelsea or liverpool title this season...BUT we should not toy at this thought right? UNITED WILL BE CHAMPIONS again! We will stand a good change for a go at the FA cup and champions league too provided there's no much injury problems. The positive now is that rivals chelsea, arsenal and liverpool got only a point. There's still much catchup to do, starting with the next match against Spurs.

Why the heck is manu trying to copy Real Madrid with stars. Well teverz was hopeless cant even hit the target. Well when you change a lot you have to give time for people to work together that understanding each other on the field. I think once they get to work as a team we would get good results.

I guess manchester utd is always slow at the start, and i am not surprise by its 2 points out of 3 games, though some players on the field are not really playing to their best but i believe they will fair better in the next couple of games and takeoff from there.
