what kind of gift will give to an american friend ?

My grilfriend has a very close anerican friend.Her name is Helen who is about 50.She has lived in china for years and will go back in september.
We want to choose a gift for Helen.But several weeks has passed the suitable gift still can't be finded.So I need some suggestion,what kind of gift will you give to an anerican friend when she go back to US ?

Does she wear t-tshirts? I'd give her a nice t-shirt with some chinese picture or cartoon, which reminds her of her time in china. Or give her her own shopping mall. Specially if she lives in America after her return, she will maybe love to do shopping and saving money. I can tell you more through a PM. Just tell me.

A T-shirt is an excellent idea.we can print some chinese characters or a chinese poem by ourselves.

Give her something that will remind her of you, her Chinese friends. Give her something that is a regular item in China but isn't a regular item in America. That way she can take a little of China home with her.

Indeed,I can find so many items are regular in China
but the problem is if its not a regular item in America.
