What do you do when you see a cockroach? Do you just leave it alone and pretend that you dont see it? Do you get some spray and spray it directly? Do you step unto it? Play with it? Or you immediately leave the room? hehehe...
Me? When I see a cockroach taht is not flying... I would quickly step into it. I hate it. But when I see it flying, I would quickly exit the room... lols...

Lucky_witch, I will immediately find a way to get rid of it. Normally, I step on it right away.

I am from South Florida, and cockroaches are a give in. flying cockroaches are really Palmetto Bugs, and do not breed indoors. As a matter of fact, they will die in doors very quickly if they cannot find their way back out. The primarily breed and live in the Palm Trees. While they are big, ugly and fly, they are relatively harmless.
As for the the "regular" cockroach (of which there are may varieties, the only way to truly get ride of them if there is a major infestation is by a professional exterminator. Worth the investment for your health and safety.....
To answer the question, though..........a lone roach?
Smash him, throw the mess in the toilet, and flush!

They are the most irritating according to me. I havent seen such an ugly creature anywhere in the planet. And flying cockroaches are still worse. And what do i think? Cockroaches, can survive even in dense radioactive atmosphere like nuclear fission. Because they dont have haemoglobin. how is that?

If I ever see one I usually back track the other way and yelp LOL!! I can't stand one in my house and I can't stand mice either. With either one of them I yell and my husband has to get up and do something LOL!!

Unlike many people, I'm not afraid of cockroaches. In fact, my youngest sibling even gave me a name being the "roach killer" because I kill them everytime I have the opportunity. The only time I get afraid of them is when do they fly and land or crawl over my skin.
Honestly, there are plenty of roaches inside the house. They easily multiply even if you kill them regularly. I guess this is due to the fact that whenever they lay their eggs, these contain more than ten offsprings. I learned this from watching shows in the National Geographic channel. But another mylotter mentioned and I discovered that they do come to life again if they are not stepped down. I'm a bit confused because some say that stepping them down isn't adviseable because this will only make the germs from the cockroaches spread, thus spreading disease all over. But admittedly, I do step on them or kill them with slippers sometimes.
When I do a general cleaning when I'm in the mood or have much energy and time, I make it a point to check up on areas in the house which are rather dark and crowded, because I know they are hiding there and laying their eggs there, too. And I do flush their eggs in the toilet bowl, hatched or unhatched. I believe that somehow, I could kill these unborn roaches by drowning them. We rarely buy chemical sprays but it's partly because I don't want to use them regularly as there are studies that these chemicals do some damage to our environment. We refrain from using these specially if our daughter is with us in the house. Also, they are costly or expensive.

Hi lucky...
Same as you would do, if it's not flying and the cockroach is safely motionless on the ground, I'd quickly grab something to smash it with. But if it's airborne, then I will run to the nearest and safest place that I know the cockroach can't follow me. And before I forget, I will do the running with an accompanying scream!

Hahaha.. I remember my last place before my place now. I had them there and once I see once I don't know if I will be the one to run or the cockroach. Anyway, I kill them, I don't want them to give birth or stroll inside my place. I'm afraid of them, really.

I am very, very glad that we do not have cockroaches in the UK. Or if we do, I've never seen one here! I've only ever seen a cockroach once, whilst on holiday in Spain.
I don't like them, I found. It was crawling across the floor (coming right towards me, I know it wanted to eat me or something), so I did the only thing anyone would do. Screamed until a man came to make it go away!

I would try to get it out of my room and let somebody else dealing with :)
I don't like killing anything in general, with the exception being a big spider. But even spiders in general, if it is small and slow, I would try and trap it into a container and let it out in the backyard.

i love this -
i get a candle and put melted candle on the cockroach. i will let the candle drip until the cockroach cant move. then, i will get a match and will light a match in front of the roach's face.
i dont like killing. i will just leave the cockroach at that. time will tell on how the roach will survive. they say, even if there is a nuclear bomb, the roaches will still live... who knows...
good day!
