I believe Kobe Bryant is...yes hes a little selfish but hes working on that. He needs some real help, like Jordan had Pippen.

Skillz wise.. maybe LeBron James is the next Michael Jordan. But it is just really a speculation with no truth to it yet. Maybe some similarities when it comes to finishing games, closing games, etc.. But LeBron James doesn't have the accomplishments or even half of the accomplishments of Michael Jordan. Like NBA Finals 2007, it was LeBron's first finals debut but his team lost. When Michael Jordan was making his finals debut, his team won.. for 3 straight years.. twice!
LeBron still has a long way to go to define that he really is the next Michael Jordan. He is still what, 22 or 23 years old? He can still do that.. But he really needs back-up. His team needs a real point-guard.:) I just wish him the best.. and you too. Best of luck!

I think kobe is probably already the next jordan, or even better than jordan. Skill wise, Kobe and Jordan are very similar, kobe might even be slightly better offensively, but jordan being the better all-round player. In terms of attitude, even though kobe's rape case was widely publicized, jordan want a perfect person either. his marriage was never too stable, and his wife had filed for divorce a few times. mike has six rings, but he had a great supporting cast with him to win those championships. Kobe, on the other hand, has LO, but his teammates are nowhere near as great as jordan's, especially pippen.

Nobody can ever replace the world's greatest basketball player of all time.
Lebron James is a good player but he was not even able to carry Team USA to a gold medal at the 2006 World Basketball Championship (maybe this year with Kobe Bryant in the line-up). To think that he has Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony as teammates. MJ carried the American national basketball team to a gold medal in the Olympics not once but twice as an amateur and as a professional player.
I have nothing against Lebron James, he's really a good player and eventually he'll have his own era same as Dr. J's era, Johnson-Bird era, Jabbar era, etc. But nobody can come as close as His Airness when it comes to basketball.

I think the person that comes to mind is Lebron James. But come on, this is Michael Jordan we're talking about. I don't think no one will be the next Michael Jordan because he will be himself, as far as I'm concerned.
Could Lebron James be better than Jordan???? Maybe, maybe not. But in the meantime, he is still young and has alot to show. Plus, he is still young...
