What kind of taco shells do you use when you're making tacos? Do you buy the pre-made ones from the store, or do you buy the corn tortillas and fry them yourself? I know the former is much more convenient, but I don't know...I'm so used to the homemade ones that I don't know if I could switch to store-bought. Or are you one of those people who just use soft flour tortillas like they do at the taco trucks?

My mom taught me how to make flour tortillas, but they're really a pain. It's hard to roll them out to an adequate shape. It's worth it just to shell out a few bucks and buy them at the store! I can't get used to the soft flour shells for tacos. I know it's the "real" way to eat tacos, but I'm too used to the corn tortillas!

I use lumpia wrappers or egg white wrappers. I shape this wrappers into circles then fry them with the shape of taco shells. They are fragile but more delicious than real nacho taco shells.

We always buy our tortillas and fry our own taco shells, we do both the corn tortillas and flour tortillas. I was raised with making taco's homemade, no packet seasoning in the meat and always frying our tortilla's. I like taco bell and some restaurants that serve tacos, but it's never the same I hate the store bought pre-made taco shells, lol. I love my tacos homemade. We always fry our burger 1/2 way in a little bit of water along with some minced or fresh onion, drain all the water and grease off, then season it with minced garlic or garlic powder and sea salt (better than regular salt) and ground pepper. We had taco's last night, lol. Talking about it always makes me hungry!
