then when the test came back positive,oh it was such a joy.. then i phoned my hubby but his phone was busy and i couldn't wait to tell this happy new so i called my dad and after that my mom in her office then the 3rd place was my hubby.i called maybe 10 people on that day,the news felt so overwhelming and i had to share w/everyone,lolz.silly me!

My husband of course, because the test was taken in the hospital...there was no self-test then...when the doctor broke the good news, my husband and myself of course were so happy...we really prayed for a baby, and after 5 months of waiting, finally the good news....the joy was simply undescribable..

I was also alone when I took the home pregnancy test because like you I was afraid of the result. We actually weren't trying I just wasn't completely careful. The first person I called was actually my best friend. I was nervous and worried that because I drank pretty regularly the first two weeks or so. After I got reassurrance from my friend I told my husband when I picked him up. I told my parents after I visited with the doctor the next day to confirm the pregnancy. Next I told some people at work and soon it was announced at work. Now everyone knows as I am approaching 24 weeks and getting a belly. I am all baby though.

For our first I was also alone. I was expecting a negative like the previous two were (although one wasfaintly positive, but i'd fallen asleep so i didn't count it, because i didnt know how long it took to get the lines)... I waited probably 3 hours for myother half to get home, then as soon as he took his boots off, before he even got through the door i showed him the test jumping up and down excitedly. He was a little in shock. haha. And admitted he thought i was because he had a dream about it.
With this one, my friend was with me, and i honestly didnt expect it to be positive (was the first test i'd taken) so didn't worry about being alone or anything like that (i usually like to be alone when i test) and within a minute, probably not even that there were two dark lines! I went out to see my friend and showed her, as she didn't even know i was testing. Then i did the same thing i did last time, as soon as he got through the door i showed him jumping up and down. I cant remember what his response this time was, i know he wasnt as shocked as the first time anyway. hehe.
With our first we waited untilafter i was 7 weeks, as i was having spotting and wanted to make sure everything was fine, following ultrasounds etc. We only then told family, friends we told closer to 12 weeks.
This one we told family a little later than last time, because i miscarried not long before conceiving this one. Then waited until after 12 weeks for friends :) The baby i lost, i told close friends straight away, and never got a chance to tell family.
