counseling and guidance from a non counseler

why should u talk about some thing that u r not ..like may be talking of how to keep a good marriage yet u are not married or if u were u it was bad and ended in an divoce ...yet u are there tellling other how a good marraige is like...do u think its contradicting ..wat are the chances of such a person to give u a wrong perspctive about an issue coz he might be acting out of his own shourt exprince..to a dress an issue that has been long in existance...

I totall agree with JetLady.
When we give advice to people, it is still ultimately up to that person what s/he should do with the advice. We all have our own opinions coming from our own experiences. We don't need to have experienced something in order to help others deal with it.

Well, we really don't know that we are right. We're just really helping someone sort through their thoughts. Most of the time, you need an outsider to look at your life without biases in order for you to see what is true.
It's really not about being right. It's mostly beign there to listen to a person who needs someone to talk to.
